5:30 p.m. Faith + Fiction: Christmas at Thompson Hall

Fr. Jameson and Heather Cross facilitate a discussion on the moral and theological issues surrounding a monthly book selection. In its fourth season, Faith + Fiction attendees meet in the Green-Meldrim House from 5:30-7 p.m. with light snacks provided.

About “Christmas at Thompson Hall”, a short story by Anthony Trollope:
This story, part of a collection by a prominent Victorian-era novelist, is set during a large family gathering in 1870. It focuses on the complexities of family relationships and social expectations, particularly Mrs. Brown’s desire to attend the festivities after years of absence. The story explores themes of family, social expectations, and the impact of personal choices on relationships.

Please join us, bring friends, and share these dates with anyone who would enjoy it. The only requirement for participation is that you’ve read (or listened to) the book. If you plan to attend, select “RSVP” button under “Attendance” below. This helps us plan for food and drinks.

Father Jonathan Jameson is a native of San Diego, California and came to St. John’s Church in February 2022 to serve as the Associate Rector.
