Plan to read the book and discuss Wise Blood, by Flannery O’Connor. This was Flannery O'Connor's first novel, published in 1952, which follows Hazel Motes, a World War II veteran who returns to a deserted hometown and grapples with his rejection of faith. He attempts to establish an anti-religious ministry called the “Church Without Christ,” encountering various eccentric characters and exploring themes of belief, sin, and redemption throughout his tumultuous journey. Please come and bring friends. Delicious snacks will be provided.

Father Jonathan Jameson is a native of San Diego, California and came to St. John’s Church in February 2022 to serve as the Associate Rector. While touring internationally as a professional musician, he became increasingly drawn to traditional Anglican worship and went on to study divinity at Nashotah House (MTS, 2019) and Montreal Diocesan Theological College (MDiv, 2021).
