Bishop Lambert’s Winter/Spring Class
Starting in January 2026, the class begins Henri J.M. Nouwen’s book “Life of the Beloved: Spiritual Living in a Secular World”.
Bishop Lambert’s Sunday School Class will begin their study of Henri J.M. Nouwen’s book “Life of the Beloved: Spiritual Living in a Secular World” (9780824519865). Fr. Nouwen was a Dutch Catholic priest, professor, writer ad theologian. His interests were primarily in psychology, pastoral ministry, spirituality, social justice, and community. Fr. Nouwen died in the Netherlands in 1996.
This book is written in answer to a student friend’s questions about faith. Here is an excerpt from the Prologue that may capture your interest. “Speak to us about the deepest yearnings in our hearts, about our many wishes, about hope; not about the many strategies for survival, but about trust; not about new methods of satisfying our emotional needs, but about love…Yes, speak to us about something or someone greater than ourselves. Speak to us about…God.”
Please join Bishop Lambert’s class for their discussion as they seek a deeper understanding of their relationship with God and his relationship with them.
