Bishop Lambert’s Sunday Class
“Sundays with the Bishop”, class return Sunday, Sept 13 and continue discussing lecto divina, guided by the book “Open Mind, Open Heart” by Thomas Keating. This book may be ordered from Amazon, Kindle, or your favorite bookstore.
Lectio divina, or “divine reading,” is an ancient Christian monastic practice of slow, meditative scripture reading designed to promote communion with God. It involves four main stages: reading (lectio), meditation (meditatio), prayer (oratio), and contemplation (contemplatio). It is a flexible, quiet practice often using a short biblical text, lasting 10-15 minutes, to listen for a personal message.
Please join us on our journey to deepen our relationship with God, our Father, and His Son, Jesus Christ.
